Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody No.10, Piano Sonata, Grandes Etudes de Paganini |

Hungarian Rhapsody No.10 Like his contemporaries, Liszt was fascinated with the music of the Hungarian Gypsies. In his Hungarian Rhapsodies he evokes the melodies and rhythms of that music. In this example, he also imitates the sound of the cimbalom (a Hungarian instrument similar to the hammered dulcimer) through his use of fast arpeggios, scales and tremolos. Real Audio: 28k | 56k |
